is this labour

hello everyone. due 1/9/06. my partner has lost her mucus plug and has been having contractions in the lower back. we think for the last 5 days started all over the place and kept stopping. now they r between 8 and 15 min apart and have been continious for the last 12hrs. some are stronger than others. any idea if this is real deal and will baby come soon?

Could be what they call the "latent" phase of labour, where the body is gearing up for the real thing. It can go on for a few days though so there is no way of knowing except by waiting to see if the contractions become regular ( say every 5 mins) and consistent in strength. Good luck!
