About to hit week 16 & the period-pain like cramping is SO painful. Its more than uncomfortable, it's now starting to make me feel sick. Bachache has also started with it....

Is this stretching/growing pains or something more sinister?

Sounds like the same as me...I had an uti Sad

I would possibly get it checked out in case it is an uti and it moves to your kidneys.

With a UTI would I experience stinging etc or any other symptoms? I used to suffer from Cystitis so can only relate to that.

Thankyou for your initial reply.

I had three days of back pain and cramps, woke on forth day to the cystits symptoms hence going to get checked. However my doctor did say it is possible for a uti not to have the full check list of symptoms.

By day four my bacteria level was a 4+ which meant I was admitted and put on a Iv drip for two days.

Personally I wouldn't take a risk, a simple urine test will put your mind at ease.

Some people also experience period like pain at the same time as their period would of been due?

Martie1 · 05/06/2014 16:07

i definitely have period pain when my period was due and also threatened headaches which are a delightful feature of my period.

Oh that's really interesting as my period would have been due now & I always get extreme black-out migraines with them.....which I've been experiencing as I normally would have done.

Thankyou.
