Can you buy one car seat then can oh, mil and my mum just but the base? If so does anyone know what makes sell them? Want to get a travel system if possible but trying to find an easy option :) thank you x

The bases all have to match the car seat. Yes you can get one seat and several bases for it but that would be £££. Easier to just buy one base and use the seat without base in other peoples cars, you just use the seat belt.

if you want a travel system you are probably looking at something like a maxi cosi pebble seat with family fix base. The maxi cosi seat is compatible with lots of popular prams.

Oh so you don't have to use it with the base you can just for it "traditionally" not really looked into it too much as only 17weeks so was going to leave pram shopping till next month at least :) x

The base isn't essential but is handy in the car you use the most. For "occassional" cars, fitting it with the seatbelt will be fine and is really very straightforward to do.

Each base fits a particular brand of seat, you need to make sure that they are compatible.
