Hey all- I'm approaching 7weeks pregnant and I'm beyond exhausted, is there anything you can reccomend?
So far Ive been lucky enough not to be sick, although very early days...I'm a childminder, and unfortunately cannot nap even though I want to!

Any advise is gratefully received! X

With DS I took specific pregnancy vitamins and they helped a lot, but it took time. I was religious about taking them and tried to do the same with DD (second child) but was too disorganised and I noticed a big difference. The main thing is iron I think - with DS anytime they checked my iron it was at a good, steady level, but with DD it was up and down which makes you incredibly tired. Taking the vitamins meant that postnatally with DS my iron levels were very good and it meant I was less tired when he was newborn too, so good all round. Eat and drink plenty, especially in the hot weather, your body needs it.

Apart from that, just give in and sleep whenever you can. You are growing a person, it's knackering, so give your body a break. You won't get the chance to randomly nap again, make the most of it!

Good luck with your pregnancy Cake

you need iron and b12 plus carbs and protein if you can manage it. Do as little as possible and get as much help as you can x

Ammi I am in the exact same situation. I had three under 5's today(all home now) and the after school lot who are sat watching a film! I am 6 weeks pg and I'm also suffering insomnia, it is brutal. Tiredness is defo a form of torture, roll on 6 pm it will be dinner (if I can stomache it) shower and bed.

Thanks guys!!

Yes I always seem to crash at 2.30ish so I will make sure I'm eating a good iron and carb filled lunch!!

Trying to be more organised with evening meal too so that I'm not cooking/on my feet all night! Finally putting slow cooked to good use x

I am 11 weeks today and the exhaustion is starting to pass. I do have a few hours of it but nothing like the past few weeks.

Try a lucozade isotonic drink in the avo. I had terrible sickness and exhaustion and the midwife recommended these to help me get through afternoons at work. Really helped x

Wow thanks- I will be giving those a try! I've managed to finish early today, so I am just lying in bed, it's amazing!!
