Hi

I am new to all this. First baby due Christmas 2014 I think. I am about 7-8 weeks. Not planned at all and just really finding stuff from the net. Got to wait for midwife to see me at the end of June. Don't really want to let friends know yet as not sure how far we are etc. We are very happy though.
I have lots of itchy dry patches on skin that look like little bites on my tummy and arms, I have read it could be due to being pregnant and its quite common?
I have for the last few days had tummy ache like a period one as if I were going to come on but it isn't painful at all and spotting of brown stuff, very small but its there each time I go to the loo. Again I have read this is normal and have seen many posts on here but am really alien to all this stuff so not sure if I should be concerned or bother my GP?
Any help would be appreciated.

xx

You must go and see your Dr or ring your midwife. It could be completely normal or it could be a sign of something going wrong, nobody but a healthcare professional will be able to give you the right answer, so make sure you ring today.

As for period like pains, I had lots of them, but they weren't combined with spotting. Dr Google can only get you so far and when you have the health of your baby to consider it's worth seeing someone who can reassure you. Good luck x

Hello,

I am currently pregnant (26 weeks) I had spotting up until about 10 weeks and was assured that it was nothing to worry about. I did have an early scan (6 weeks) as I have had a MC previously and dis spot with that pregnancy.
Information I read seemed to indicate that approx. 30% of women have spotting in pregnancy without it being any to worry about. Anecdotally a friend of a friend spotted throughout her pregnancy and baby was fine.

I would agree with the above poster though, if you are at all worried see your GP or your EPAU. Both were fabulous with me.

Hope all goes well

Thank you BumpNGrind and MrsWones. Its really reassuring that others have gone through this. I am sure it is normal but will be going to the GP. Thanks for your advice.
