Tonic Water for restless legs.

I tried this last night as I was so bloody tired but just couldn't sleep due to annoying restless legs (I'd been standing a lot at a garden party and this seemed to make it worse!) drank a glass of tonic water and it was a lot better and I could sleep! Someone had told me it was good for cramp and restless legs. Maybe it was the walk down to the kitchen and back which helped but just thought I'd pass it on in case any one else wanted to give it a try, restless legs being so crappy when trying to sleep!

My GM suffers with restless legs, it drives her insane and she too was recommended tonic water, there is an ingredient in it that is said to help. Glad it eased off for you.

I get this too - it's so annoying!
It's the quinine in it that helps apparently. I also read a banana helps?

Yes I'd read that it was the Quinine. I was sceptical as all the morning sickness 'remedies' never worked for me, and this seemed to be similarly sketchy! I'll have a bottle by the bed now (although it was so fizzy I then had a bit of trapped wind pain, so I'll have to try and make it flat!)

Try Biofreeze too, just slather it on when you feel it start!

Tonic water, tiger balm and soap under the bed sheets all work for me but are all hit and miss. Sometimes one will work one night then not the next but they all reduce the restless leg feeling at the least
