Would the very thick, colourless, jelly-like substance I've been losing be my plug coming away? I'm 38+3 and I thought I'd lost some of it a few weeks ago, but that stuff was quite different.

There was no blood.... Does there have to be? That's what confused me.

I don't think there has to be blood. My plug came away during labour.

Doesn't have to be bloody. When I lost mine it was a big ball of green snot...later when my hind waters went I had spotting

I lost mine 2 days before having son, went to the loo finished up and thought oooh I need to go again and it fell out mine had brown in it and yes an oyster the midwife didn't seem fussed, I'm having c section so will I still loose my plug this time
