I started having cramps about 24 hours ago but they are quite painful. The last hour I have had bloody discharge and a couple of small clots. I have a dull ache in the lower stomach although the intense pain has calmed.

I am scared, had light bleeding from 4 to 10 weeks, ultrasound found a small haematoma. Last scan was last Tuesday and all was fine then.

Last pregnancy resulted in an early miscarriage. I dont know what to do. Ive been up for 3 hours just constantly going to the bathroom and checking.

I cant deal with this again, I thought things were ok, we have told lots of people, I feel sick thinking whats going to happen.

The pain may have been your body expelling the clots from the haematoma or it may be something worse. You know you need to seek medical advice- either ring your gp out if hours or go to a&e or ring your maternity hospital triage number.

Secretsquirrel13 · 01/06/2014 05:38

Forgot to say I know how scary this is and whatever it is you can't control it.

TheWildOnes · 01/06/2014 05:52

Thanks, the pain is now very bad, every couple of minutes like contractions, I guess I just have to wait for the inevitable.

Definitely ring Triage. They will be able to find out what's going on. If it's the haematoma, there's no need to worry about something worse. Good to find out... Hope all is well and you get some answers

TheWildOnes · 01/06/2014 06:05

Last time the checked the haematoma was 4 weeks ago, and it was only very small, I dont think it could cause what is happening now.

Will get my contact numbers from my notes and start making calls.

Do you have someone with you? I hope you're okay. Sending hugs xxx

Thanks
TheWildOnes · 01/06/2014 06:37

DH is still asleep, today is his only day off so don't want to wake him. He will probably wake up soon.
The pain is awful.

The wild ones
I hope you are in contact with your hospital by now.

I had the same in my last pregnancy (about the same time too) was admitted to hospital and it turned out to be a very bad uti. Had to stay in for a few nights but the pregnancy progressed normally after.

Good luck x

Greyhound · 01/06/2014 06:56

Oh OP I really hope you will be ok ThanksThanksThanks

TheWildOnes · 01/06/2014 07:49

Well its all over.

We were about to leave for hospital as the pain was constant and unbearable when I passed it all, pain has now gone completely, thank goodness. I am devastated. Especially dreading the task of having to tell people, especially the DC, they were so excited.

Thanks for the advice all.

PoppadomPreach · 01/06/2014 08:26

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Take things one day, or even hour, at a time. And be kind to yourself - there was nothing that you could have done. Xx

DrFunkesFamilyBandSolution · 01/06/2014 08:26

So sorry for your loss x

Barbie1 · 01/06/2014 08:37

I'm really sorry to hear this.

Take the time to rest and heal, I have been there and know how terribly painful it is.

Wishing you lots of strength for the coming weeks x

TheWildOnes · 01/06/2014 08:50

Thanks all, really thought once I was passed that 12 weeks things would be good. Only had my last scan 5 days ago, can't believe how quickly things have changed.

jaffajiffy · 01/06/2014 08:53

Oh I'm so sorry to see this update. There was nothing you could have done. Sorry if this is a horrid thought, and you may very well hate the idea or don't want to know, AND it's not something to actually decide today, but if you can bear it, think about saving the things that passed? Just in case you'd like to have them tested to try and explain what happened? I only say that because I had a 'limit' of three miscarriages but we had our third tested, and the results made me want to try again (chromosome problem), so i agreed to one more try.

Take good care of yourself and be kind to yourself. It's awful and so sad. I'm glad your dp is with you x

Greyhound · 01/06/2014 11:15

So sorry Sad

It is v hard to face telling people, I know myself :(

ThanksThanksThanks

duvetfan · 01/06/2014 15:47

so sorry for your loss. MC are devastating, my thoughts are with you. Thanks

Secretsquirrel13 · 01/06/2014 16:03

I'm really sorry this has happened to you I have been there to and it is devastating especially when you have had the reassurance of scans. It's still really important to go and get a scan to make sure you don't have anything left to come out or cause infection. You will probably also know that second trimester losses are considered differently so it is worth a consultant appointment to discuss what could be done differently in any future pregnancies.

Scoobsmam13 · 01/06/2014 17:52
