Anyone else having terrible dreams in their first trimester? They're so incredibly vivid and usually accompanied by me talking them through subconsciously to my terrified DH.

Here's a few examples,

My baby was born with frog legs.
My early scan showed a baby with no legs.
I was married to joey Essex and stabbed him because he was so annoying and shallow.
I was told by a practitioner that my baby would only be able to communicate by clapping like a human seal.
Bleeding when wiping.
Tissue coming out of me when wiping.
Husband stops loving me.
Random horrible sex dreams that involve strangers.

So basically my subconscious is terrified, paranoid, horny and insecure. Really struggling to enjoy going to bed...

I had a lot in 1st trimester, thankfully they stopped in 2nd trimester. My only suggestion would be is to try to relax and not stress during the day, think your subconscious just churns through what you've been thinking. Also not getting too hot whilst I'm sleeping makes a big difference to me , so I try to keep a window open and air flowing.

I do some are very disturbing, my sleep hallucinations go nuts as well. Must be the hormones!

Very common in the first trimester due to surge of hormones. I had some awful ones. Most common were about my teeth falling out (don't know were that came from). The dreams stopped during the second trimester but are on the increase again in yhe third (this time due to disturbed sleep patterns). Don't take any notice of them. Hope you get a good night sleep Wink .

I had some crazy dreams in the first few weeks. The eased off at 10-12 weeks but I was totally freaked out by some of them.

They ranged from babies being swapped at birth to baby being born with vampire teeth!!!

There were the odd ones that were "sexy" dreams which involved orgasming in my sleep, they were rather unnerving too. I think it was down to the cramping. These freaked hubby out too as I woke up screaming a couple of times.

Yes, totally crazy dreams.

Last night's special was an exact replay of a (booze free, very sedate) party that we went to last weekend - only in the dream everyone was naked and one of my friends had an ENORMOUS greek-mythology style willy swinging to her knees. I will never be able to look her in the eye again.

I also had some awful dreams and still do occasionally now at 17+3.

just remember they're only dreams, I dreamt of massive clots at about 8 weeks but all is good :)

I lost my first baby very very young and didn't really have time to get over it because I got pregnant again quickly, I had horrible horrible dreams the whole pregnancy flashing back to what happened before, dreaming it was going to happen again, dreaming about committing suicide because I couldn't take it again.

With 20/20 hindsight I should have got some counselling or support but I was young and didn't know where to turn. Never got it as bad with any subsequent pregnancies but had similar things to you, especially with the frogs theme.

I dreamt my baby was a cyclopse.
