Hi I've been told my baby has spina bifida

Although I'm waiting to see a consultant I'm trying to prepare for the worst

If the baby is severely damaged and I terminate the pregnancy is it possible to have a medical termination over 20 weeks, say 21 weeks? I'm not keen on d&c or anything near the cervix

No, I don't think it is possible over 21 weeks. It becomes less effective. My mum tried it as 23 weeks - I'm 23 now, so I've just had a check up with Great Ormond Street, as I'm part of a study into this.

Im really sorry though, and I wish you all the best.

here is a precis of what is available to you

So sorry to hear you are in this position.

I am sure your HCPs will be able to guide you through whatever process you decide on.
