My period isn't due until the 9th but I have the feeling I may be pregnant-the exact same collection of symptoms all three times previously.

I have always tested positive after my period was about 7-9 days late.

Is there anyway that I could test this early or would it be an absolute waste of a pee stick?

Why dont you leave in a pee sample with your G.P? They do it free of charge and it should be 100% accurate. P.S Are you hoping its positive?

Familytree · 02/09/2006 12:09

Yes, I can wait. I suppose I was just curious as to whether it would be a waste to test this early.

I have extreme fatigue a very dry mouth and I am very light headed and fainty under flourescent lights, it feels like I am woosy drunk and about to pass out. I have never had these things unless pg.

i did a test a week before my period was due,it was negative,as were the other 3 i did before i was actually late lol.i just knew i was pg but wanted to be sure.now i am 12+ weeks and thinking back i must have done the first test about 4 days after conception but the tests i got wre only 99p each so i wasnt really bothered.
good luck!

redz · 02/09/2006 23:38

I done my test when I was one day late and it was positive think it was called pregnancy first or something. Go get one quick

redz · 02/09/2006 23:40

Actually no...the test was called first response has reminded by elliepippamummy

buy some poundland tests, then it doesn't matter if you waste it cos it's not £10 you weed on for nothing!

EllieK · 03/09/2006 02:40

use a first response test, can use them from 4 days early, mine showed up positve 4 days before i was due!

carrotcake · 03/09/2006 10:07

I tested a week early and got a positive and I have a 28 day cycle. I was so desperate to know that I bought a triple pack of early birds (cheapest in chemist) and then did three in a row as I didn't really believe it. I think if you have a spare fiver, and are prepared for the fact that a negative doesn't mean a negative, then there's always a chance of an early positive. However, I did read an article about woman testing postive earlier and then getting upset when their period came on time, whereas they'd have assumed they just weren't pregnant if they'd waited. Didn't stop me though...

I have about a 30 day cycle and tested negative when I was 5 days late. Managed to wait another week (because I just 'felt' pregnant) and got a positive test. Keep us posted
