This is our first so not really sure what to feel for but all I can explain is it being popping bubbles or fluttering in the mid to top part of my belly? It's like when you have the trots kind if but higher up? Could it be the baby moving?

I receive pregnancy update emails week by week from the nhs website. Just had my 16 week email yesterday and it says that some people start to feel some movement from now.

Sounds like it could be movement in your case.

It wouldn't be high up at this stage. More likely just above your pubic bone.

If you lie on your back you should be able to feel where your uterus goes to? If it's within this it may well be. I felt dd2 move from 12 weeks.

Yeas it is more than likely :) i started to feel that sensation from 13wks, and as the days went by he got stronger. By 16wks i had full on kicks lol and loadsa spinning around in there he was doing :p now at 33wks, there an arse that keeps popping up -.- and some legs and elbows stiking out here n there! X

At my 16wk appointment, the midwife could see and feel DS moving. He was v active. Low down though. Higher up was squished intestines and wind.

Wow movement from 12-13 weeks!
Eep! Do you think that's more likely with subsequent babies too?

I started feeling movement with this pregnancy at about 16 weeks so could be Smile

Sho1988 · 31/05/2014 08:51

It's weird fluttery feeling. I don't know it could very well be trapped wind although doesn't feel the same lol ??. Feel excited that it could be though. I don't feel pregnant yet if that makes sense? My belly has started to pop out a little but other than that any sickness I had has stopped and I'm not as tired now. X

I felt movement for the first time around then, but I could only feel it when lying down and using my Doppler to locate him. I could hear him moving and make out a kind of swishing feeling at the same time, very faint though. By 18 weeks DH could feel him kicking on the outside, so things progressed quickly after that!

Sho1988 · 31/05/2014 09:03

That's when I can feel it, I have to be laying down and it's like a bubbly trapped wind feeling. I probably worded it bad before but the feeling is below my belly button? And I don't have a clue where to feel for my uterus or what I'm feeling for. My midwife tried to explain but I didn't get it haha :) x

I felt ds at 17 weeks, fluttering low down.

squizita · 31/05/2014 11:10

At that stage yeah it could be but as you say, pretty low down below your belly. The uterus is still mostly in your pelvis then so it would be low. That's how I 1st felt mine, think it was about 17+5, tickling and popping low low down.
