Sorry don't really know how else to phrase it. The bones between my legs are really sore. It feels like I've been riding a bike with a very hard saddle.

I'm 33+5 Anyone else had this?

Sounds like pelvic pain, v common in pregnancy, if bad you can get referred for physio of see a chiropractor.. All advice is to avoid crossing your legs when u sit coz it makes it worse

Yep, sounds like you have 'Pelvic Girdle Pain' as it's now called. Ita quick google will give you some hints and tips for how yo move so that you don't mare it worse. If you ask your midwife she may be able to refer you to a physio/clinic where they can provide you with a support to ease some of the pain. I has it with DS1 and have had it since 16w with this pregnancy :(

Sounds like the beginning of spd to me. I had it with my last pregnancy and I totally sympathise it's awful. You really need to see your midwife ASAP for a physio referral. There are lots of things you can do to try and help it physio wasn't great for me but they gave me lots of tips on getting in and out of the car and bed. I've heard lots if people saying that chiropractors are very good but I didn't hear about that til after I'd had my baby.
It really is important to act now because it can become quite bad I was on crutches for the last few weeks and had to go on codeine tablets briefly. Hopefully you won't get it that badly I think my case was quite severe. I'm pregnant again and the first twinges I get I will be off to the midwife!! :)

Sorry just to clarify pgp/spd same thing.

whiteblossom · 30/05/2014 09:55

I have this, I told my mw only to be told there was a 6 week waiting list and that the physio can only see so many people...so wont refer me but did say if it got any worse to ring my mw......

I think Ill just book something privately!! I don't want any refered back problems like last time.

OwlCapone · 30/05/2014 10:00

Oh yes, I remember this :) I had it with all three of. One but, thankfully, it never progressed beyond that "ridden a bike feeling"

HeavenK76 · 30/05/2014 10:43

tell me about it, hurts like hell when you move doesn't it. I've got spd and experience the same pain, left side bone and leg is worse tho.
What helps me a little especially before going to bed is running a hot shower on my legs and thighs. It really makes me sleep better, if I don't do this I can honestly cry with pain.
Went physio, got belt, got crutches etc. but nothing really helps.

Thanks all for the replies.

SPD had crossed my mind, seeing midwife next week so will get it checked out.

Will read up on what not to do etc. just been to do the shopping - pushing the trolley was really hard now I'm really sore.

Think DS will have to get used to not being picked up!

Be careful! One of the first things they will tell you if it is spd is no pushing trolleys! Or hoovers. Try and rest up a bit today if you can and you need to shop online or get a trolley pusher (my mum stepped in!)
God that sounded bossy! Sorry didn't mean it to! :)
