Myself and my partner are trying for a baby I'm over 2 weeks late for my period but the tests still come back negative! How long should I wait? About 4 years ago I had a miscarriage at 4 months pregnant and tests still came back negative the week before I lost it! The doctor said there may be a chance I can't produce enough hormone for the pregnancy but at the time I wasn't ready for a baby so didn't try again! I'm not sure what to do as doctor laughed me out of the surgery has anyone gone through this what should I do am I testing too early? Xxx

Only anecdotal, but a work colleague tested negative on urine and blood tests up to 14 weeks pregnant, when all the hormones suddenly kicked in. Pregnancy was fine and she now has a gorgeous five year old. But normally you'd be expecting to test positive at two weeks late!

I think if you miss 2 periods I'd go to the GP and ask for a scan - that way you would be far enough along to see something if you're pregnant. Good luck!
