Sorry ladies as I know I'm not pregnant any more and it's more a baby question but I loved this forum during pregnancy.

My little baby is now six weeks old on Saturday (were has the time gone :( )

He's getting to big for Moses basket so tonight is the first night we have put him in cot. He looks so tiny in it.

I have just the sheet for matteress then he's in a little onesie and then in a baby sleeping bag. I've put him at the bottom of the cot and the sleeping bag I've tucked down the matteress ever so slightly to stop him wriggling out.

I've left off all the bumpers etc

Is that all I need or should I roll up towels either side to stop him moving around.

I've only just got my head around him sleeping in Moses basket now I'm back to being a nervous wreck again please help!

To add cot has been moved in to our room so he's right next to me lol

He will be fine without any additions, infact, safer.

If you prefer, lay him sideways, so the sides closest to him are head and foot ends and he has space to move either side.

You're just fine. I'd leave out the towels as they could be more of a hazard.

Nothing else needed. Congratulations!

He'll be just fine in his sleeping bag, he can't wriggle out of that no matter what. And there won't be too much wriggling at 6 weeks. It's fine, I promise, but I do remember feeling exactly the same as you, the first night in the HUGE cot. Smile

Thanks ladies I know I sound completely over the top. He's in it fast asleep (for now) he looks so little lol yet looks Huge in the Moses basket.

Nah, you don't. I was lucky to have a massive Moses basket and a baby who loved to be cramped so I managed to keep him in it for ages; it was still a wrench when he went into the cot!
