Well I am not sure with regard to twins theory because I am definately only having one! But yes I can relate to the heartburn and still have it at 17 weeks :(
Try and get some gaviscon on prescription though its not really helping mine now so gonna ask midwife for some meds on tuesday . Its really making me feel yuk in the evenings :(
I am always thirsty too especially in the night , not sure if its linked?
I found any juice or squash made it worse too . Water for me!

Hi,
Me too, am 24 wks now and still drinking loads, gone through tons of juice though am trying to stick to water.
Heartburn from hell, have just got some Zantac on prescription from docs, it works wonders (gaviscon makes me sick) take 1 in morn and one early eve and it's fab.
I took it through both my other pregnancies and it was fine, hopefully will be able to sleep now as it was keeping me up at night.
Good luck.

I'm only having one! In first tri I was CONSTANTLY thirsty. That has settled now (31 weeks). I had heartburn kick in at 10 weeks and couldn't even drink water without it flaring up so been taking omeprazole since.
I too hate tap water so bought a brita filter jug and been using that. Cheaper than bottled all the time.

I recommend soda water - works miracles for me! Also, have you tried gaviscon dual action?
