I'm 39 weeks today and just started with heavy pressure feeling down below! Not bad when sitting but when I walk, oh god, it feels awful! I almost feel like I can't walk! Is this normal?

Sounds like the baby's head is engaging deeply, which is generally a good sign!

Does mean that you feel like there is a bowling ball in your pelvis and you will need to wee about every 15 mins though :)

I'm 37 weeks and feel the exact same, hope it doesnt continue to get worse and worse!!
Had a mini scan yesterday and apparently the babies head is fully engaged already, which is what is causing the pressure. So all good ultimately!

I find if i'm sitting down (i'm still in work) and get up, it takes at least 10 steps before i can actually feel anything but sheer agony!!

it feels like my fanny is actually about to split open. Here's hoping that doesnt happen lol

I'm 35 today, and have been getting this on and off for the past week or so. It was agony walking the other day, exactly as chicamomma described! But not all the time. Does that mean baby is starting to engage or not?
