Hi,
I'm currently booked in to the southern general but May swap to the princes royal mat after the 20 week scan (as it's closer to my parents and my hubby works away from home a lot)
Don't know anything about wishaw gen

Why do you ask?

Wishaw General was awful! Staff are lovely but overworked, the room I was in had blood all over the bathroom(not mine), overflowing sanitary bins and the scbu has had very bad press recently but I've no idea about the southern general

Southern General for me - baby number 2. Great experience the first time, after a bit of a difficult birth. Staff are great, overworked but great.

My sister has had a baby in each and the southern general was by far the best. At Wishaw they wouldn't examine her and she was in her jeans 20mins before my nephew was born!!! They only examined her(they didn't believe she was in labour but she refused to go hom!) when she was sick after being given co-codamol for the pain!!

I had DS4 in Wishaw 4 years ago and was v happy with my care.

Is there anything specific you want to know?

mollysmummy1970 · 29/05/2014 23:32

I had my DS1 a few months ago in wishaw and they were brilliant with me, can't complain at all.

Is anybody else dying to know why the OP asked?

I had my baby in Forth Valley but was admitted to Wishaw at 17 weeks as an emergency. It was a very distressing time but the staff at Wishaw were fantastic, yes they were overworked but it didnt compromise my care in any way. The hospital has received bad press recently but sadly every hospital has failings. If I lived nearer to Wishaw I would opt to have my second baby there, no hesitation.
