Think I'm pregnant with DC4 and I don't know what to do

I just did a pregnancy test and it came back positive, honestly don't know what to do. DCs are 11, 8 and 6 and after numerous issues with DC3 (both to mine and her health) DH and I said we wouldnt have any more. I sound incredibly ungrateful but I honestly don't want this baby, I don't think I will be able to cope if the same happens with DC3 (she was premature, traumatic birth with a lot of blood loss and I had severe post-natal depression for some time afterwards) and we really can't afford another child right now. Haven't told DH yet as he's in work, but I think we'll have a long chat about it tonight. I'm currently just sat crying because I have no idea what to do. Am I an awful person to not want this child?

Oh I'm so sorry that you are finding yourself in this situation. I completely sympathise with you. Try to be strong, and remember there are options, you just need to think carefully through all the options. I think you should in the first instance book an appt with the doctor to discuss your concerns. They will have your medical history and advise you on the risks. I'm sure your DH will be supportive and remember you are in this together! I'm sure he would be mortified that you are crying alone right now. Chin up - and you will work your way through this - no matter what your decision is.
Sending you good thoughts....

huge hugs. You are not an awful person. You are a person with real concerns about your health and the additional pressure, should you have a 4th child both on yourself and your family- that's understandable. Only you and your dh know whats best. Talk and talk and give yourself both time for it to sink in and talk some more.

Everything will work itself out, however you decided to proceed.

Everything will be ok. repeat as required!

big hugs!!

You are very early on, so a termination would be a simple and easy procedure. Try and get to your doctor as soon as you can, to get the ball rolling if thats the direction you think you want to go xx
