And I'm sure most of you aren't even considering thinking about this yet but I am just wondering if any of you know if this will be your last pregnancy or are you planning on trying again for another in the future? If so, what sort of an age gap do you have in mind?

We were 99.9% sure this would be our last but now that we are looking into permanent methods of contraception we've decided that although we are pretty sure our family will be complete, we don't want to make it permanent just yet.

I should add, this is DC3 and I don't seem to conceive very easily.

This will be my last unfortunatly my body can't take it anymore we have made the descion that we won't have anymore unless something unthinkable happens I have factor v lieden and gets worse each time so I know I can't but would love 3, we did think of fostering when dc are older,we have said that hubby in 4 years will have the snip in between times its contraception and no sex!

This one is definitely my last, it's baby number 4 and completely unplanned. Dh is going for the snip very soon as we can't afford any more and don't have the room. Our age gaps are 3 years between ds and dd1, 3 years between dd1 and dd2 and then there's 7 years between dd2 and this baby (dd3).

we have 5dc.our youngest is 4 months.would love to have 6 altogether but i have anti bodies in my blood which in turn developed into jaundice then anaemia in our lo resulting in her having a blood transfusion.spent abt 14 days in total in hospital & the stress on the family was huge & we wouldnt like 2 go through it again! but i dont want to be sterilised & my dh doesnt want the snip.
my other dc ages are 15,11,8 & 5.
imo the 5 yr age gap was the best between my dc.

I am 34 weeks with our first - and I am already broody for number 2 if that's at all possible?!
Took 4 years and a round of IVF/ICSI to conceive this little one.
100% sure we will try for a second, just unsure on the gap to leave.

Timing wise we will need to make a firm choice (not just 'wait and see if it happens' type idea) as will be using frozen embryos, and we can choose when we start round 2 as we will be funding it.

In an ideal world (assuming I take to being a parent like a duck to water! Grin ) I would like to be pregnant again by this baby's 1st birthday, but not sure if we will have enough money or energy to do it that soon!

Plus, I keep swaying between wanting as close an age gap as poss (There is 18 months between me and my older sister and 2 years between me and younger twin siblings and I love it!) and really enjoying our time with the 1st much longed for DC before a second hopefully comes along.

Luckily I found the IVF treatment fine, and my pregnancy so far has been a breeze so no reason to not want to go through all that again. Labour & birth and actually being a parent may end up a different story all together though - we will just have to wait and see.

On the bright side I haven't needed to (and never will again) worry about birth control.
