Do bumps stop growing for a while??

I'm 28w and feel like I haven't grown for a few weeks. My midwife has never measured my bump so I can't measure it to compare but it looks and feels the same to me. Is this expected?

Yes I think so. Baby will have growth spurts rather than an even pattern of growth (as do we) so you'll notice it all of a sudden rather than a gradual thing.
With my dd it constantly felt like bump grew in 'steps' iykwim?! Grin

Oh and fundal growth measurements can be mightily inaccurate so don't worry about her not measuring you. If you're worried, just ask her. Are you due a growth scan soon?

Yeah, I've got a growth scan this Thursday in fact! So I know this all seems a bit silly but I'm starting to have my usual pre-scan freak-out, hence this thread...

I guess it does grow in 'steps'
I've noticed many times that there is no growth, then suddenly my clothes are tighter or someone mentions that bump has grown.
Often we don't notice ourselves but others do tho

I was just saying yesterday I felt like my bump had stopped growing (27 weeks). My husban laughed at me. Apparently it is...! Maybe we just see it too much to notice?
