Period Type Pains?

Have got a m/w appointment on Monday, but I just wondered if anyone experienced period type pains at all? Mine last a few seconds really, and then they're gone. Doesn't happen often, couple of times a day maybe, and has only just started happening recently... I'm 24+2.

Thanks.

Might be braxton hicks if they are like cramps, although im not sure how far you are when you get these as i never got them with my ds.

I don't think my bump is going hard, or does it not need to do this with BH?

With BH it goes hard and you somtimes have period like pains, time them if they are all over the place you'll know its not labour.

It's definitely not labour - they're all over the place and it's not really painful. Just an awareness.

Trouble is I wouldn't know what BH's felt like if they bit me on the bum!

as far as i know it does go hard with bh but it might be that they aren't very strong at the minute. have you not got a pregnancy unit at your hospital that you could go to so they can check you over?

Smanfer71 · 01/09/2006 15:37

I do, but I don't think it's as serious as that (although you've now got me worrying ...)

next time feel your bump if it goes hard it more then likely BH. If you dont feel right about it go to your GP..

sorry, didnt mean to worry you..im sure its nothing i was just saying if you were worried about it you could go and see someone. Im sure there's a lot of people on here who have had the same thing happen to them

Thanks. Kind of wished I never asked now and waited until Monday when I saw the midwife!
