Hello everyone, i'm new and hope you can help:

3 weeks ago I found out I was only 4 weeks pregnant - the same day I told my partner, I started to bleed, quite a lot.

One doctor told me it could be normal but to go to hospital... the hospital told me they wouldnt see me as too early... the next day a new doctor pretty much told me it was all over, why was i there, i wasnt really even THAT pregnant so why was i sad??

Since then i have been spotting brown blood. I was sure I miscarried, and grieved a lot. Now, as i said, three weeks later, i retested to be sure the hormone was gone (as the hospital said), and it came back a stronger positive than before. Im stumped, really. I havent had sex since, not felt like it after all this. Im booked in for an internal scan tomorrow and i just dont know what i expect to hear. :(

I dont know what im hoping to get from this post... i just needed to talk to someone.

Hiya. I'm sorry you're going through all this worry and it must be horrible to have accepted a miscarriage (which is very upsetting however early it happens despite what you bloody insensitive doc says).
If you are still pregnant you would be 7 weeks so the internal scan will a gestational sack, fetal pole and possibly a little flickering heartbeat. Bleeding in early pregnancy doesn't always mean a miscarriage but if that is what has happened the scan tomorrow will show whether it has finished. I tested positive for weeks after a miscarriage at 6 weeks but my scan showed all was ok to try again and we fell pregnant on the next cycle. I am now 25 weeks.
Whatever happens you know you can conceive. Hope all is ok for you tomorrow Xx

Hey everyone. Its been a tough couple days.
Ultrasound showed no baby! Nurses werent particularly friendly and made me feel like a time waster, then decided to make me do a urine test to confirm im actually pregnant. They seemed very shocked that it was positive. They said that either i am a lot earlier than they thought, or it is ectopic or i may have miscarried but my body is clinging on to hormones.

Received bloods back today. HCG is 150, progesterone is 40. They are treating me as high risk ectopic. I am going back for bloods tomorrow am to see if it is doubling or decreasing. I just feel so hopeless and sad. Im 22 and feel useless!:(

You're not useless or a time waster. You are a brave lady who is going through a very hard time. Glad they're now taking you seriously and hope you are treated with more compassion from now on.

Good luck for all your investigations and let us know how you get on. Be kind to yourself and hope you have some support Xx
