NCT - what's the deal?

8 weeks today :) Don't know why this feels like a milestone!
I've just been doing a bit of research into NCT antenatal classes - people seem to have mixed reviews - to say the least!

Firstly - does anyone know the difference between the "signature" and "essentials" classes... the website is very vague..?
Also - how much do they cost usually? (again... nothing on the website which is always an ominous sign....)

And would love to hear your views/experiences... both good and bad.

Thank you :)

My local NHS trust have 6 hour courses run by NCT, free. I used the money we set aside for the full NCT course to pay for an extra private scan.

Best decision ever. Rumour has it the local NCT courses are a bit yummy mummy as I live in an affluent area (but am pretty poor). The hosital classes have been fab and have met some nice couples.

Thanks everyone, this thread has been useful as I'm looking into differences between Signature vs Essential.
I also am due to move soon (currently 14 weeks so need to get a wriggle in to get on a course) but if we out an offer in I'll book a course then.
Thanks
