Huge symathies, I had the same with DS. Hope you get some relief soon.

CurrantBun · 01/09/2006 12:08

Julez, poor you. I only had it badly for about two weeks, and even that felt like a lifetime, so I can't begin to imagine how awful you must be feeling.

A friend at work had really bad nausea like yours, and hers finally went at about 20 weeks. Not much consolation, I know, especially if you have experienced the same in your previous pregnancy and ended up in hospital, but remember every pregnancy is different so it may pass this time.

Feel free to come on here and offload though - we might not be able to provide solutions but we can always provide sympathy!

sorry to hear about that, I know how you are feeling its really disabling isn?t it? I am struggling at work with it, glad I only work part-time because I just don't see how I'd manage full-time when I feel like this (11wks today!)

julezboo · 01/09/2006 12:18

Im just so glad I dont have to work! I honestly dont know how I would cope if I did. I keep going into the housekeep section and thinking yes Ill do that, then i stand up my head bangs and i feel sick so nothing is getting done, Think im gonna have to have words with dp!

I was sick with my son until the day that I had him! So I know that my sickness is here to stay this time! I have found a slight improvement (anything that helps a bit is welcome) with Ginger chewing gum, sea bands for travel sickness and my sons ginger bread men! I got these from this website which Im always in at the moment! www.mamatoto.co.uk (quote NB2AH680 for free p&p) They have a hypnotherapy cd which I am tempted to try next!

My friend ended up having accupuncture after 6 months. It really helped. With DC2 she only had it for 4 months as she started on it sooner.

DebbsyandBibby · 17/09/2006 14:02

i didnt think mine was ever going to stop either but it did at 18 weeks good luck

poppynic · 17/09/2006 14:08

I totally agree. I had bad nausea first time - rubbish collection days were particularly fun as I would throw up on the way past all the smelly bins on the way to work. It went away at 5 months but to my absolute disgust and surprise it returned again at 8 months!! This time I've passed 5 months and still feeling nauseous. Oh, this is definitely improved by my four year old ds having fun making wretching noises when he can't think of anything else to do! ha ha ha.

Total sympathy - it is just the worst feeling in the world. I was off of work for months - sick right up until 5 months - then my friend gave me acupuncture very week for 4 weeks and it sorted it out - HOORAH! I tried everything - homeopathy, sea bands, ginger etc. Defo go for acupuncture. I've got 2 weeks to go now and have been feeling a bit sick again. I'll need to pysche myself up for another Lo but will go for acupuncture as soon as I hit 6 weeks next time coulodn't suffer that again!
