I'm.... 15 weeks (I think- second pregnancy and I'm not really paying attention!) and I'm incredibly itchy all over apart from my face and hands and feet. I had it last time but this time I want to rip my skin off!
Any tips? Help!

Not got any tips, but I would suggest getting it checked out by medical person to make sure there isn't anything underlying.

If it's dry skin try a bath with baby oil, that used to help when I got bad eczema.

Thanks CoolCat. All checked out last time and nothing nasty. Have been using DD's eczema bath oil and cream. Want to cry it's so sodding itchy. Bring back morning sickness, all is forgiven!
Off for a cool bath. Ugh. Any other itchy people around?

I had this but much earlier in pregnancy, 7-10 weeks now 18+3 and get the odd day or so or crazy itchiness, mainly my back and boobs. Mentioned it to MW and was told it was likely to be hormones and heat. (Still check with yours tho) I was recommended to using baby wash to wash myself as it's more hypoallergenic. Keep slathering yourself with moisturiser (e45 is good) and keep cool!!

Thanks Monkey- it's miserable isn't it!

Aveeno cream with oatmeal. Helped me a bit when I had the same problem.

LittleRedDinosaur · 26/05/2014 19:51

Aveeno, brilliant. Will get some. Thanks! Have been using double base and oilatum but they haven't been great.

I would def get it checked out - I had obstetric cholestasis in both pregnancies and itching is one of the few symptoms. If it is that, there are loads of good tips for reducing the itching on the 'ICP support' website.

Hope it clears up soon
