Help....have my waters just gone

Hi ladies,

I am nearly 42 weeks pregnant, woke up this morning and after about 30 minutes I had a gush of water but it wasn't much it soaked my pad (tmi). Not sure what to do now

Call hospital, sounds like waters have gone x

Ring your midwife. They'll probably want to examine you just in case. If it is waters they want to know when they break so they can induce if contractions don't start within 24 hours. With DD1 I thought my waters had gone and went in for an examination. They hadn't gone but I was reassured that I had done the right thing in being checked. Good luck!!!!

What does it smell like? Wee? Or sort of straw like crossed with semen? If it smells like wee probably wee the second one is probably waters.

I had a stretch and sweep after mine went, contractions started about an hour later and my baby arrived by the end of the day.
