Pants are damp.. 27+3

I'm 27+3 and today I've noticed wet patches in my pants. Is this normal?

I had a recurrent UTI but that cleared up a couple of weeks ago, but it left me with thrush. Was given treatment last weekend and my symptoms have cleared up. I've been wearing a panty liner, have only had a little bit of discharge today, but the liner is wet and it's leaked into my pants. Not exactly running down my leg but definitely noticeable. It appears clear, no blood or anything.

Is this worth checking?! I'm reluctant to call.. I've been in 3 times in 3 weeks and don't really want to make it a fourth occurance if it's not necessary. I've had a little stress incontinence since the UTI started, but only when I sneeze unexpectedly. Any advice would be great..

I would go and get checked in case it's your waters. Definitely and right away.

Is it urine leakage?
Maybe up your pelvic floor exercises?

SellyMevs · 22/05/2014 15:40

I have no idea, every now and then I can feel it trickling but it's not heavy. It doesn't smell like urine but I have no idea how to tell the difference.

Really wet or slightly damp? If latter could it be sweat?

SellyMevs · 22/05/2014 15:47

I did think sweat, but i'm frozen in an air con office and I took out the liner, and within 20 mins there was another damp patch where the liner had been.

Noone here can tell you whether it is or isn't your waters. It could be so go and be checked out! I've had slow leaks before and with ds2 my waters were leaking from 22ish weeks...it wasn't a dramatic gush but when the checked my cervix they saw fluid leaking from it...

Don't take chances.

Definitely get it checked out. If it doesn't smell like urine, it probably isn't, and you need to be sure what it is. Without wanting to sound alarmist, if you have had a recent UTI you definitely need to get it checked as infections can be one cause of early labour; always best to check, and the staff really won't mind.

Please do go and get it checked out. In my experience, the midwives would always rather you called if something is up even if it seems trivial . They won't mind that you've seen them a lot recently. Please do give them a call now. All the best
