Have I just got crap stomach muscles?

First baby, 23 + 2 and feeling fairly huge! I haven't actually put much weight on but loads of people have commented that I'm carrying low. Could this just be the position of the baby or do I just have crap stomach muscles? I now keep comparing my bump shape with others who all seem to be much higher!

I wouldn't pay too much attention to "loads of people". They're often wrong/misinformed and seen to feel compelled to make personal comments because you're pregnant. If your midwife's happy, then try not to worry.

Im 26+5 and I was a big gym goes before falling pregnant I am also carrying really low whih also makes me look smaller than my 26+5 but baby is growing fine. baby will get higher as time goes on, im thinking its because theres just more room a bit lower ie wide hips lol for me

Thanks ladies, that's a good point Mmolly - I do have the classic 'child bearing hips' and have always been pear shaped (hence the nn!) so perhaps my baby can just sit lower in my pelvis that people with narrower hips?
I also did alot (ok, regular but not lots) of exercise before I got pregnant including circuits/weight based exercise so I was a bit concerned that my stomach muscles weren't coping when I thought they were quite good!

Baby is kicking away, so no reason to worry I suppose. Thanks for the reassurance!

Everyone is different so don't worry about it. I went to an antenatal class where they all thought i was about to pop but i still had 8 weeks to go! I'm naturally v skinny so my weight is all bump and bum but for other people who r shorter or carry more weight they may appear smaller/bigger...who knows! My cousin didn't know she was pregnant til 6 months...i couldn't hide mine after 4! So basically don't worry :-)
