Given that usually I go for sushi or rare steak in blue-cheese sauce dinner, then a jumping-around indie night in a pub with lashings and lashings of lager beer? Grin

London based would be lovely!

Maybe dinner and a trip to a comedy club or something similar? At least then you get to sit down for the evening and get some nice food out of it (albeit maybe not rare steak)! Wink

What about going to see the Book of Mormon? Im planning to go to celebrate birthday, thought I could justify the expense as wont be drinking expensive drinks!

Thanks ladies - a show or comedy club sounds good! :)

I would have suggested that too. Another option if the weather is good would be a posh picnic in the park.

I haven't been back to London in a while but some places used to do really nice ready made hampers like the Deli at the York and Albany for example. Not sure if they still do that though. Have a great time!

A lighthearted musical or theatre show or comedy club and a meal out would be my ideal. Doesn't have to be drunken dancing til 2am! Happy birthday and have fun!

Afternoon Tea at a posh hotel? you can often get Groupon/Lastminute.com deals

squizita · 22/05/2014 09:33

Flipflop annoyingly same circle of mates doing that the week before for someone elses!
Otherwise I would like a shot. Weirdly for an old rock chick i have loads of contacts on the vintage scene and and would have found a place in a shot if i hadn't been pipped to it! Darn!

My birthday is the end of July when I'll be 7 and a half months pregnant, so thinking I won't be up for doing too much. I'm thinking about visiting a spa with one friend who is planning on coming down especially to see me on my birthday (a pregnancy massage sounds nice), and dinner etc with other friends, and maybe the local comedy club? I may make DH take me around the shops (and carry all the bags)!! :)
