Hi all,

I know that many people have much worse sickness than I do, so apologies for the self-indulgent post! Just hoping to hear some encourgaing stories. I'm 12 + 2 today and although the all day nausea is waning, I'm still really sick in the morning, throwing up bile 20 minutes after I get up. If anything, it's getting more violent rather than tapering off. I was really hoping it would have worn off by now. Please tell me it will finish soon?!

My morning sickness lasted until about 14-15 weeks and I think lots of friends found the same.

alita7 · 20/05/2014 22:55

it will wear off, I too was pissed off that 12 weeks wasn't a magical end to first trimester symptoms but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Be prepared for nausea to return occasionally though!

Arrghh! Thanks ShoeWhore

Thanks alita It's not the end of the world but it would be quite nice to get my mornings back (before I lose them again ... good training I guess)

I know exactly how you feel as mine has just subsided at 15+5 ! The heartburn is still here tho!
It will gradually ease off! Xxxx

I was very lucky in that I wan't physically sick, but I hadn't enjoyed a meal since finding out I was pregnant, felt nauseous from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed and felt horribly full after a mouthful of anything. Was worrying over the last week as water seemed to be the worst thing to settle and I was getting really dehydrated.
But 12+3 yesterday and all of a sudden I felt brilliant mid afternoon - had pork chops and mash for dinner with strawberries and meringue for pudding which was a massive meal, and I ate it all and felt brilliant!
Fingers crossed I've not jinxed it now, but it seems to have got better just like that. Now need to be careful not to put on too much weight :-)
hope you get the same moment soon...

Sorry to tell you this but am still sick and 33+6. Sometimes it does not stop.

Most of the time it will stop though so hopefully you will be one of the lucky few!

cookielove · 21/05/2014 16:07

I stopped feeling nauseated around 15-16 weeks first and only time of being sick was at 17 weeks and that was only water.

I still feel shattered though and I'm 22+2

Heatherbell1978 · 21/05/2014 19:05

Mine wore off at about 13 weeks. Funnily enough I was never actually sick (just nausea and retching every morning) but in week 12 I went through a phase of actually bring sick before it then stopped overnight.

Polkadotscarf · 21/05/2014 20:35

Mine got worse at 12 weeks and I feared it would never leave BUT it's been gone since 16 weeks...woop woop! Fingers crossed it gets better for you. I was mighty peeved the magic 12 week thing didn't happen for me!!

somedizzywhore1804 · 21/05/2014 20:37

Mine went at 22 weeks.

It's now back at 34 weeks.

I wish I had a happier take to tell!!! Wink

RebeccaCloud9 · 21/05/2014 20:42

My all day hangover type feelings had faded by week 13/14 but I'm still being sick every morning at 18 weeks with no sign of it stopping. Sorry, I feel your pain! x

CPtart · 21/05/2014 20:44

First pregnancy mine stopped around 16 weeks,
Second time I was still throwing up in late pregnancy!

LBNM19 · 21/05/2014 21:49
