Need to pee all the time!

I am literally going to the bathroom 8 times during the day. Only 16 weeks pregnant and have no other symptoms at this stage. Is this normal? 3 times during the night with heavy flow but just a trickle (tmi) during the day but feeling like I need to go more often. All my 1st trimester symptoms are fading away and I am feeling pretty fresh otherwise. Have heard this can be a sign of diabetes? Anyone else felt the same?

With my first it was till he was born I went 2-5 at night for pee.
With this one 17 weeks I'm still going 2-4 times at night

And everything is normal.. All bloodwork are fine. Except low in vitamin D Grin

If you are worried talk to your mw. But for me it is normal..

Think it's pretty normal, but if you are worried take a sample to MW or GP as they can check it's not a uti and make sure no glucose in your urine.

This was me until just after 20 weeks. At my worst it was 4-6 times in the night! Went away at 20 weeks and couldn't go more than half an hour without feeling the need, and then getting annoyed when just a trickle came out. I don't know if at that stage it's because baby is still quite low so presses on your bladder? But after about 20 weeks things improved a lot. Now occasionally I need to go urgently when baby changes position (am 26 weeks) but only go once in the night. It improves!!

Wait until your 30+weeks!! I'm going about every hour day and night. It's driving me crazy!

SpawningSalmon · 21/05/2014 12:31

I would be thrilled with that. Only 8!

Feeling a lot more reassured now! Had myself worked up into a frenzy convinced I had diabetes.....think I am driving DH mad. First baby nerves!
