Stomach bug :(

My DH has been off work today as he was sick quite a few times last night and now has an upset stomach. I thought I'd managed to avoid it, but have just been spectacularly sick. Am I right in thinking I need to just keep drinking water to prevent dehydration and ride it out?

Oh no poor you that's bad enough when not pg. Yes I would say try and keep hydrated as much as possible but if your at all worried then go to see your gp or phone midwife best to be on safe side. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

Oh dear. I remember having a horrific bug when pregnant with my DD. I was reassured by the midwives that it wasn't something to worry about, but to try and keep hydrated, and if you're finding it hard to keep water down, just to take small sips. But if you're ever worried, give them a call. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Definately try to keep dehydrated. I had a stomach bug at 34 weeks which led to me getting dehydrated, which in turn set off a few contractions. I had to go in over night and get a drip and the contractions stopped. Baby was born a week later. Not saying the bug was entirely to blame as many women have them and are fine... Just keep an eye on it just incase.
