Did when you have birth (ie overdue or before DD) correlate with your own mum?

Just curious to know if there's a genetic pattern to whether you go overdue or give birth before your due date. I'm one of 4 and my mum had all of us about a week before her DD so is convinced I'll be the same. Nature will run it's course obviously but I'm a very organised person and feel I need to prepare for an earlier birth!

We did have similar births though!
For both labours my mums water broke, nothing much happened and she had to be induced.
My waters broke and nothing happened too, but because all the wards were crammed they left me that long DS went into distress and I needed a cat 1 emergency c section!

I was 2 weeks early, DS 2weeks late.
My DH was 2 weeks late apparently - you would have thought MIL would be more understanding of why I didn't want hourly phone calls once I reached 40 weeks......

My siblings and I were all a week or so early, my dds were very much late!

Me and my two brothers were all 2 weeks late. My mum had three straightforward labours all 12 hours long.

DD was 5 days late after a longer labour, 30 hours from waters breaking. All straightforward though.

Would it be greedy to hope current baby comes on time with a quick labour??

My mum keeps grumpily saying things like "well mine didn't get any shorter" Grin

No. My mum was waiting to be induced at the hospital when she went into labour.
My dd arrived at 37+4
We did both have fast labours though. I only went in once my waters went as i wasnt sure i was in labour until that point. 2hrs later (15 mins pushing) and baby was out.

I was 2 weeks late (induced)
Sis was born a week late.
DD was 4 days late.
39 weeks with DD2 so... Not early.

Both me and my partner were born on our due dates. I'm really hoping I don't go overdue and follow suit...probably wishful thinking
