Other than dunking my feet in a bowl of cold water what can I do? The skin feels very tight and stings. They also look massive. I have been quite restful and drunk plenty of fluids. Any other ideas on how to make them feel better?

Have you got a headache or any other symptoms? Was the swelling sudden?

Just checking because sudden swelling was the reason I went to the labour ward to get checked, my BP was through the roof and I had protein in my wee and they induced me the next day at 37 weeks.

Other than that, try and lift your feet as high as possible. Is there someone there who can massage your feet and legs? My OH massaged down my legs and it relieved the pressure a bit.

The swelling isn't sudden and my blood pressure is always fine and was taken a few days ago :)

I had this with my last pregnancy and it horrible i found nothing got rid of it but I used to lie on the sofa with my feet propped up on cushions so they were higher than my head and wrap them in tea towels soaked in iced water. I used make dh change them ever twenty mins or so.
You have my sympathy it's horrible!

I've got a spray bottle that I fill with water then put in fridge! In this hot weather it's been bliss!!!!

Foot massage with aloe cream or gel . feet up on cushions and wiggle your toes and do ankle rolls.
Dunking them in cold water might help a bit but rest will help them more! ( easier said )
Mine vanished when I gave birth and my birkenstocks fell off as they had been stretched so much- I had been wearing them and a pair of trainers as thats all I could get on.
