Insanely active baby suddenly tonight

I'm 26w 5d and my baby has been active every day for weeks but tonight has been unreal. Hard, constant kicks and punches for hours now! What's that all about?

Shakey from when? Just specifying because I have been on the phone in tears at week 18 before! The 'come in' warnings never have a time guide.

For women who have had problems in the past, it is hard to distinguish 'maternal instinct' from the maternal (clinical) anxiety they often have.

My MW and consultant - specialist in avoiding loss at 'the' clinic for it - told me after about 26 weeks patterns may start forming but not to worry too much before 28w?

Yes, apparently 28w is when patterns start to form.

Rcog guidelines say from 28 weeks to expect a pattern and if a change in the pattern then women should be checked.
