Orgasims during pregnancy!

Really embarrassed asking this question BUT.....is it safe to be having orgasims in the 3rd trimester (I am 27 weeks)?

I have looked through all the books before asking this question but can't seem to find the answer!

Orgasms are GOOD FOR YOU IN PG (hoooooooooooorrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!). They help to tone your uterine muscles.

Can't think of a real reason why not.

When you orgasm you release hormones that are similar to the ones used to induce pregnancy (oxytocin), but in the case of orgasm I shouldn't think it would induce labour unless you are actually ready to go. The old wives' tale of having sex to start off labour is to do with the combination of oxytocin from your orgasm (if you ever have one that is!) and the hormone prostoglandin that is present in semen which is also in the pessary given to induce labour.

Mine are so strong now I'm pregnant they leave me knackered for the rest of the day lol I have to stop short if I have too much to do as I feel I have been run over with a truck; in a good way. Lovely.

Oh yes! Infact I thought it was the best time! Much stronger and more enjoyable for me. I was a bit of a crazed pg woman then though and counted the hours til dh would come home !!
