Please does anyone have any tips for relief with piles, I have cream but still in so much pain.

I am 38 weeks and having very loose bowels 5 x daily which obviously hasn't helped.

Anyone? I will try anythingHmm

You have my total sympathy they are so horrible and painful. I've had them with all my pregnancies but particularly bad last time I saw the doctor about 4 times because nothing helped. He finally prescribed vagasil (the itchy fanjo cream!) but you can buy it over the counter. It contains lidocaine which is a numbing cream ( apparently they use it before tattooing) omg the relief was amazing! I also used ice cubes wrapped in a muslin square and just held it on them it really helped.

I really hope that you feel better soon I'm only 18 weeks but know that I will get them again, I'm dreading it! :)

Don't know what cream you are using but germaloids is really good as it contains a local anaesthetic - there are also suppositories if the piles are internal.

Vagasil and germaloids on the list for tomorrow! I have tried the ice but doesn't seem to have helped much.

Thank you for the ideas & keep them coming.
