Brown discharge at 38 weeks with low placenta

I've been lucky with this and my last pg to have no bleeding although I've had low placenta both times. But after a day of over-exerting myself yesterday (clearing the junk out of the nursery) I've had a bit of brown discharge this morning. Baby is still moving as usual. Anyone else had this? Should I call my midwife (considering it's Saturday and I'll probably just have to leave a message...)?

I'd give the delivery suite a call tbh to go in and be checked over. How low is it?

Low enough that I need a CS - 'abutting OS' is what it says in my notes. I have no way of getting to hospital either, unfortunately.

Were you not given any guidance about bleeding? I know with praevia they are quite cautious but I don't know how they'd be. I suspect the advice would be rest up and wait and see but it might be worth calling anyway.

What would you do if you went into labour about getting to hospital?

Call an ambulance! Don't drive, no public transport there from where I live, no one else who can drive me... And it'd be an emergency as I can't deliver naturally.

I'm aware I'm at greater risk of bleeding because of the position of the placenta but it's never actually been discussed with me at any appointments. I'm now trying to take it easy but difficult with a toddler and DH of work due to back spasms, so he's not any help.

You are in a fix! I still think it might be worth chatting to them.
Hope you get some rest.

It sounds like the "show"
