I also have to add ds was alot easier than dd when he was a baby & at 7 1/2 months dd is already a little madam, she is already ruleing the roost round this house

I am feeling rather broody myself now but only for another blue one

SoupDragon · 30/08/2006 20:36

I'm still chortling

I have 2 elder brothers and my mum always said I was the worst. I assumed she was joking but now I have a nasty feeling she meant it.

skerriesmum · 30/08/2006 20:42

Wow, I had a scan last week and we found out it's another boy for us (our second.) Don't know if we'll go for three or not, but now I'm tempted, just to see if we have a girl! It's nice though, I think ds will love a brother.
Congrats LTH, when's your due date? I'm due Jan 10.

LadyTophamHatt · 30/08/2006 20:45

I did say "In my mind" soupy....I wasn't actually expecting it be to be true

Actually "In my mind" the Ds's are little cherubs too....sweet and kind, play quietly...with quiet toys...that they put away themselves. Who clear ever plate of food I put in front of them and eagerly ask for more veg once they've eaten the first mountain of it.
Who flush the toilet every time...and wipe their bums...and wipe bogeys on tissues(not bedrooms walls)....I could go on and on...

I'm delusional, aren't I??

LTH. Congratulations and I'm glad that you found out. I was struck by the dream you had last week and you obviously were too.

I totally understand your tears but comfort yourself with the thought that, with three older brothers, your 'sweet little girl' would have been an all-in wrestler by the age of two.
And would probably have pulled the limbs off of any dollies you had hopefully waved in her direction.

I think we will be the only mnetters with 4 boys and no girls so we can start some exclusive threads. 'Does my uber-matriarchal bum look big in this?' ..and...'Why do I now require a chisel to wash my sons' sheets?' Ewwwwwwww!

Beauregard · 30/08/2006 21:20

Awwww thats lovely Lth

LadyTophamHatt · 30/08/2006 21:21

LOL bubble at the chisel...

I was thinking it's a very exclusive club too, we can be the founder members.
The cliques of all cliques

Miaou · 30/08/2006 21:30

Awww.... LTH .... congrats on another blue one and hugs for the pink one it isn't! Are you keeping well? Am hardly here atm, too busy packing

sweetkitty · 30/08/2006 21:38

congrats on another blue one

I know a woman who has 3 boys and number 4 was a girl, the boys are lovely the girl is an absolute terror, a real demon child truly I kid you not!

I have 2 DDs and we are going to ttc no 3 next year to have 3 children not "to try for a boy" hate hate hate that phrase. Secretly I would love a girly gang but know DP would love a boy, I have my little fantasy boy mapped out too I suppose and would mourn never having a boy for a little while. Sometimes I wish DD2 was a boy just to shut everyone else up about us wanting a boy, I'm sure we will love whatever we are lucky enough to be given.

I love my boys - just been in to kiss them and they are scrumbly (girls are too, they all are, we are soooo blessed to have them).

eidsvold · 31/08/2006 03:43

LTH - if it is any consolation I have two dds - 4 and almost 2 and they constantly ignore me, run around the house like mad women squealing, answering back and my house looks like a bomb site......

Just wanted to say it is okay to be sad about the little girl you wanted...... I am pregnant with no 3 and whilst boy would be nice ( for dh to even the testerone level in the house!) I often think another girl would just be easier... I know how to do girls iyswim.

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 31/08/2006 10:12

For my pink substitute, used to have a rainbow Unit (like little Brownies). trust me, they were in the main, NOT going to be listening to their Mum's (unless their was a possibility of new shoes anyway).

there were a few exceptions that I'd have loved to have been mine- one of them has a Mum that posts here but I'm not just saying that LOL!. . There were several indeed that I really miss, but most of their Mum's seemed pretty much sick of it.

Had one faily who got their boy after 5 girls. bet he's just a tad soiled now LOL!

No, of course you didn't pamina(I even just double checked)

Feeling good and ok about it today. I even had a little chuckle at it when looking at baby clothes in the toys r us catelogue...bloody hell 4 boys. I wonder what the odds would be if I set out to have 4 boys??

Still have a teeny weeny sad thought the lack of females in my house...I suppose I can always get more female pets, just to even it up.
Even our bloody guinea pigs are boys...

i've got two boys, so got two female rabbits to balance it out a bit, doesn't really work

Tiggiwinkle · 31/08/2006 14:52

Boys are gorgeous though aren't they?

LadyTophamHatt · 31/08/2006 14:58
