Thanks for offers of little girl loans....would it be a fair trade for 3 boys (or 4 come january) to one girl? I'll take you up on it if you think so

DH guessed that we were having a blue one because I was cried.

I knew I'd cry either way but I have to admit even I was a little surprised at how much it did upset me. I'm so glad I did find out because it would ahev been awful to feel even a tiny bit like like I ddi when he's here in my arms.

DH now thinks he's a testoserone filled love god for producing 4 boys. Even flexing his biceps to prove it.
Idiot

My little boy is far sweeter and more cuddly than my dd!!

trinityrhino · 30/08/2006 16:12

ooooh congrats lady , only just saw this

intergalacticwalrus · 30/08/2006 16:13

Remember, you will only ever have to worry about 4 willies, as opposed to lots of willies in the future.

Congrats!!!!

cupcakes · 30/08/2006 16:16

ah, LTH - am sorry you had tears. It's a difficult one but like you say now, at least that small disppointment won't marr his birth.
and wow at your dh with his super sperm. Tell him we're all swooning.

YeahBut · 30/08/2006 16:17

Congrats LTH! And a big {{{hug}}} too. Completely understand your reaction.

FoghornLeghorn · 30/08/2006 16:20

at DH.

My DH is one of 4 boys and they are all so close it is lovely - DH is the youngest and his eldest brother is 8 years older than him but they get on so well, it's lovely to see.
Having 4 boys will be great, MIL thinks it brilliant having 4.

SoupDragon · 30/08/2006 18:23

"She was going to be a sweet little thing who would alway listen to me, never ignore me and was just a perfect little thing."

Hahahahahahaha

"Sweet little thing"!!!!

Must introduce you to BabyDragon who is FAR and away the most demanding and challenging of the small Dragons.

hahahahahaha..... Didn't get past that part of the thread

LIZS · 30/08/2006 18:27

agree Soupy , dd is far higher maintenance and stroppy than ds ever was ! You'll love 4 boys LTH. Have a friend who had 4 under 5 !

ocd · 30/08/2006 18:27

soup i htink it s baby number three

Elibean · 30/08/2006 19:21

If its any comfort, I cried when I found out mine was a girl...I have one dd, and this is definitely our last (age, age, and age) and I cried because I'd never know what it was like to be mother to a boy (a fantasy boy, of course ).

I also knew I'd cry whatever it was, because its our last - and I wanted a girl too.
And like you, I'm so glad I found out - it was five weeks ago, and I've already got most of that out of my system - just saw her on a scan again, and am in love.

And most of all, congratulations!

alexsmum · 30/08/2006 19:27

girls are worse as teenagers i think.just read spaceys thread.
just imagine a future of being proud of all your strapping sons .

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/08/2006 19:32

Awwww. Glad everything is looking good.

Agree 100% about everything Soupdragon said. If you dont believe me...ask my mum I am the only girl, and have 3 brothers......

MerlinsBeard · 30/08/2006 19:38

LTH, glad things are fine. SOrry u got a blue one again, would give anything to be a week ahead of you still but, well, these things happen, u know how to "do" boys and will make things a bit cheaper with hand me downs ;)
Hope everything carries on going smoothly for you xxx

Elibean · 30/08/2006 19:42

mumofmonsters xxx

Spagblog · 30/08/2006 19:43

Another boy!

If you have a hankering for a girl, do what my Nanna did to my father...Dress him in frocks, grow his hair long and hope he turns out gay.

LadyTophamHatt · 30/08/2006 19:44

Oh MoM...I still think of you often.

southeastastra · 30/08/2006 19:44

ah congrats on a boy, you can always put him in dresses and pretend he's a girl (only joking of course)

MerlinsBeard · 30/08/2006 19:59

sorry, that was inappropriate for this thread

seriously LTH i am happy for you xxx

LadyTophamHatt · 30/08/2006 20:02

Don't be silly MoM....I knew you would post again saying sorry. I'm not in the least bit offended or upset about you saying it, so don't say sorry.
Don't for a minute think you can't post how you're feeling on here....

chin up eh??

Calista · 30/08/2006 20:21

Glad everything was ok at your scan and you've got another healthy little one on the way LTH.
Hope it helps to ease your worries and you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

Can really empathise with your feelings about a little girl though (I have 2 boys and am hoping to have another baby in next couple of years).

Just think, 6 months or so ago, you thought you would never enjoy feeling a tiny baby kicking in your tummy again - whether it be a boy or a girl - and this baby really is a gift.

SherlockLGJ · 30/08/2006 20:28

LTH

Sorry I went out for the afternoon. I could only have the one and lucky to have him, but I was convinced he was a girl for the whole 9 months and when they said he was a boy, I said "Oh how lovely", I truly didn't care either way but it was a shock to be wrong for the first time in my life.

Anyway I digress, when I went to see the heart guy and he told me absolutely no more babies, I cried and cried but as much as anything else for the little girl I didn't even stand a chance of having, so I really know how you feel. I think.

So apologies for questioning you this afternoon.

LadyTophamHatt · 30/08/2006 20:32

God...sherlock...don't wrorry about it!

I hope you wasn't thinking I was miffed about you asking??

I have very thick skin (mostly)
