Had an early scan (dont really know how early but last period 23/25 March or so), and all they could see was gestational sac, is this normal?
I was expecting to see more. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any experience in this? Thank you for any replies. Blush

Early scans are hard because you don't really see much and for me anyway theyv never given me much reassurance.
With your period dates it would make you about 7 weeks - if you ovulated late though you may be less in which case there really isn't much more to see. By 7-8 weeks there should ideally be a heart beat, but if your not 100% of your dates I honestly wouldn't worry yet. A sac is a good sign & is the start of your baby. Iv always been advised to go back 2 weeks after an early scan for another one to see if the sac has developed. If you get no reasons to think your having a MC take everyday as it comes and hold hold till your 12 week scan - or even booking appointment. But whilst there's a sac you are pregnant - congratulations xxx

Thank you Justhayley. I have been reading online (yes I know! Shock )..and it says there should be a yolk sac and also a fetal pole and in mine there really isnt anything. Im feeling really stressed out. I think I will wait for my next appointment which is in June. Thank you for your reply.
