leaking breasts

hello all! sorry if this sounds daft but i am worried and wondered if any of you could help me.

i am 16+4 and i have noticed a clear liquid leaking from my breasts. enough to wear a breast pad.

this is my second pregnancy and i dont recall having this prob when carring ds.

i would be gratefull if any of u could shed some light

its colostrum and perfectly normal

It's probably colostrom (sp?). I had a bit of it during my secong pg, having had nothing like it in pg1.

I have this too - started from about 20 weeks (am now 31 weeks). Mentioned to practice nurse, who said it can happen, but if you start leaking loads (soaking tops etc), then to call hospital as it can mean on set of labour - but only if flooding happens if you see what I mean. Mine leak on and off, no set pattern.

This is my 2nd too, and like you didn't have this with the 1st.

I had that from around 4 months in both pregnancies and had to wear breast pads. Both boys were full-term, and had lots of milk!

feel a complete pillock coz thought it was too early etc.

glad it is nothing to worry about tho
