Sorry if this is dull.

But my latest pg symptom is, well, choking really. It's like I'm constantly swallowing a little bit of spit the wrong way. Is this just about pg hormones having a relaxing effect on whatever normally stops this from happening!?

Guess so - sounds plausible. Relaxin makes everything looser.

I've got (ahem) swollen (down there). Apparently harmless - but really not nice.

And my legs went blue after I sat in a train for 12 hours on the way back from hols.

Feelng battered.

Recently read in Emma's Diary -Believe it or not- that excess saliva is a common PG sympton. It has a scientific name as well although apologies as i don't know what it is.

How PG are you?

annaspanna · 30/08/2006 13:23

ps... its called pytalism according to Emmas Diary

Thanks for speedy replies!

Annaspanna, I'm 32 weeks, this has just started in the last couple of weeks - along with indigestion, which is a new one to me (this is my third pg), and permanent swollen ankles which I thought I'd kissed goodbye to when the hot weather ended. However, nothing to match your blue legs Kif - hope hols were worth it

i'm only on my second pg about 11 wks gone. Weird how different your pgs can be. Have no experience of choking/ saliva thing but it sounds like its quite common so hopefully nothing to worry about. The indigestion is vile i agree. I got it at 30 wks last time & never suffered before or after. The swollen ankles/ hands and even face happened at about 32 wks for me too. Least it isn't long to go for you now.

Yes i've not heard of the blue legs thing either???

Well, I've had 'tingly' legs for a while in any case. I think my circulation is quite poor in my legs. A lot of this trip was spent with Dd1 on my knee - so I guess it was fairly extreme circumstance.

On the plus side, my DH flipped out when he saw them, and when through a phase of being very fastidious with leg rubs - which was nice.

I do not have any major symptoms except I am constantly out of breath. I am in my first trimester and it started very early. I get out of breath if I talk fast, forget about the stairs.
