I wouldn't want to give birth at that stage, wait a bit longer, be patient!

it doesn't really start labour, it's more preparing the uterus for labour. Not sure of daily amounts - have your tried googling it? and the loose tea is supposedly more effective than a tablet. Doesn't taste v nice however - add some honey or sugar! I am 34 wks and will prob start in a couple of weeks. Seems to remember I used to have 3 cups a day ( when I remembered) with dd1 and dd2)
good luck!

no, the dd's were born just a few days past 40 weeks.

I thought it wsn't recommended until past 37 weeks. A birth before then is considered preterm and carries higher risks.

am thinkikng i might not take it this time though - was recently in hospital for 2 weeks with placental abruption, hoping my uterus is 'toned' enough with 2 previous normal deliveries!!
