Oh my goodness, I am completely freaking out. It's my first pregnancy and me & PH are so excited.
I've had sore and swollen boobs, tiredness, mild twinges but no ms
All fine, and then I just went to the toilet in work and my discharge is brownish in colour - no red/fresh blood but I am totally freaking out.
I'm going to see mw tomorrow for my booking in apt but really don't want this to be the end! Am I panicking for no reason? Is there anything I can do?
Thanks ladies!

Don't really know what to say but didn't want to read and run.

Is it getting any worse?

Can you contact EPU to get an early scan?

Really hope everything is ok x

any bleeding in pregnancy is always worrying but it doesn't always mean the worst is happening, i bled off and on till 23 weeks with dd. brown means its old blood, red is fresh, so it could be what they call an implantation bleed. do you know if you're having a scan at the booking in appointment tomorrow?

Hi ladies
thanks for the replies
I've spoken to the community widwife who wasn't overly concerned.
She's told me to monitor the discharge and if it becomes more frequent, gets red or I get pain to call them back.

If no change or it stops then I go to my planned mw apt tomorrow who will refer me to epu if she's concerned.
Fingers tightly crossed that it's just one of those things and my little bean is holding in there!

I had this! At over 7 weeks then over 9 weeks. Was very brown and not a lot but enough to scare the shit out of me. Have not had any since...

I have no idea why I had it but everything is progressing normally now (I am 17 weeks now and heard hb for first time yesterday).

It is such an exciting and yet worrying time but try not to panic.

I had this very recently, I'm 11 weeks now and had brown/pink spotting from 6 to 8 weeks, then one episode of bright red blood, it is so scary. I saw the gp who was very reassuring and referred me to the epu for a scan the next day where I saw the baby and heartbeat. They explained it's very common, but said call again if I bled more (I haven't since). I think the fact you have no cramping is a really good sign.
It's hard knowing there is nothing you can do isn't it. All the best, try to ignore scary stories on Google

thank you for the reassuring stories!
I am seeing mw tomorrow so hoping in a way she sends me for an early scan so I can know one way or the other everything is ok or not.
Fingers crossed!

I had brown blood at 7 and 11 weeks and all was fine. Apparently for a while you can bleed around the time your period would have been due. Always get checked out though, we went to local EPU and had a scan both times to check on everything.
