I'm 7 weeks and had some spotting at weekend. Although I hadn't seen midwife yet, I found their number and rang up for some reassurance. The midwife I spoke to said there were various innocent reasons for spotting, but referred me for early scan to be on safe side. All was well at scan and saw a heartbeat. If you don't feel you're getting anywhere with GP, maybe give your local midwives a ring to put your mind at rest? Hopefully all will be fine for you too x

Bleeding while pregnant doesn't always indicate miscarriage. The fact that you are in pain is concerning though and you definitely need a scan to check the pregnancy isn't ectopic.

I've been in your situation twice, the first time it resulted in miscarriage and the second time the baby was fine. There was no real difference between my symptoms either time.

The scan will hopefully give you some answers. Wishing you all the best.
