20 week movements

I started to feel little movements last week, but over the last two days I haven't felt anything. It's my first pregnancy, so I know it's not unusual to not feel anything for another couple of weeks, but I'm a bit worried as it started and then stopped. Am I just being paranoid (again)?

I've had what feels like tickling on the inside, but that was totally different to what I felt last week so I wasn't sure if it counted or was just cheese! I think I might go mad before 40 weeks!

I didn't feel consistent movements for a long time, I think about 30 weeks (I had an anterior placenta). My midwife said it was only in the third trimester that you should start paying close attention.

I had this and rang the MW who said it was like that before about 23-24 weeks, they come and go. As where mentioned she said only to count etc' later on.

Yes I'm 20 weeks with dc2 and some days I don't feel her at all. If I'm worried it's been quiet for a few days (usually as I've been busy), I lay on my tummy on my bed and rest for a bit, and I usually feel movement that way when I'm quiet and concentrating. Don't worry!

Thank you! I'll stop prodding it then and let it just do its thing Smile

I'm 20+4, and started feeling little bits a few weeks ago - one Monday I had some fluttery feelings, then the following Monday one definite prod, then this last Monday through to yesterday I had definite proddy feelings for about 5 minutes or so around 6am in the morning. It hasn't occurred to me to keep a track of them really, I just assumed since I was lying still in bed, with an empty stomach (so no digestion movement going on) I noticed.

This happened to me too and the midwife said that it's common at this point (I was nearly 19 wks and had been feeling fluttering at 17wks then prods soon after) not to feel consistent movement. I started feeling movement again the next day though. I guess baby had switched positions.

Goats I was told to put it from my mind till the 3rd trimester - movement monitoring is useful/reliable once baby is almost full size (I was told 26 weeks onwards) not before. :)
