I dont want to go into details, but I have been physically shaken by someone. Could it have harmed the baby at all? After it happened I felt very achey down low, and during it I wet myself.

I have had no blood loss, and this happened Sunday night...if damage had been done...would I know about it by now do you think?

Depends how hard you were shaken. Phone your midwife to get checked out and to put your mind at rest

Spagblog · 30/08/2006 07:58

Poor you, you need to be checked out to put your mind at rest.
The baby has some protection with the fluid.

I would be more worried about you and the circumstances in which it happened...Is this a one off, or something the baby could be exposed to?

i AGREE WITH THE OTHERS GO TALK TO YOUR MIDWIFE

Divvy · 30/08/2006 08:22

I am safe...it was my eldest daughters boyfriend, he is banned from the house now. He beat up my husband, but they both ended up getting arrested. All charges dropped. But really worried for my daughter now....she loves him! She is 17....I am so upset about the whole thing.

Agree with the others.
If this is 'domestic' violence then pregnancy is often a time when it escalates apparently. I'm more worried about you too, if someone is shaking you, it's totally unacceptable, get out now. Womens aid here and mumsnet support thread

Auntymandy · 30/08/2006 08:35

Was your daughter then when in happened? Does she not see what he is capable of?

YeahBut · 30/08/2006 08:38

Divvy {{{hug}}} Please ring your midwife - she'll give you the best advice to put your mind at rest.
Is your husband OK? Why did you drop the charges?

MrsFio · 30/08/2006 08:40

how awful for you duivvy, you must be worried to death about your daughter did her boyfriend know you were pregnant? I would ring your GP and get yourself checked out

Divvy · 30/08/2006 15:58

I have been to the EPU, and they put a doppler on me, but after 15 mins, they couldnt find the heartbeat, so I had very quick scan, but it put my mind at rest, baby is fine.

then I get home and dd has text me to say she has finished it with him.....happy is not the word!

I will support her through this now, as she is going to be hurting alot, as he really is her world....its the way he has made it..there is more to this, its been going on for months...taking her away from her friends...bit like a cult type thing, you know?

He is very aware I am pregnant....and her words the other night were...."he would never hurt me though"...how many times to woman say that......

My dh has a smashed up face, and broken ribs too...all charges have been dropped though, as its his word against ours.....he said that dh had assulted him.....but he dont have a mark on him...

I have 999 on speed dial, as i dont think its over yet...he has a vile temper.....
