My ears are driving me mad at mo, they popping and crunching, think it just cattargh but not sure. Pretty sure not infection coz no pain or anything weeping they just annoying. Anyway my mum keeps telling me to put olive oil in them, is this ok in preg or anyone got any good ideas?

Of course it's ok! You'd eat it, and a lot less will be absorbed by you if you put it in your ear and not your mouth! Grin

I have some Otex to hand actually and there's nothing to suggest you couldn't use that if olive oil doesn't do the trick. It's the business for declogging ears.

I had a terrible blocked ear for over a month in the 3rd tri - it can be caused by your body producing more mucus and stuff in pregnancy.

I went to the drs and they prescribed olive oil drops for a week, followed by syringing. So yes, you can use olive oil! Consider going to the gp and asking to get them syringed though as well, the relief was immense!

Of course you can. Unless your ear if halfway up ypur cervix or something?

Worried22 · 12/05/2014 15:22

Why wouldn't you be able to?

Lol at grockle.. on that note, i've heard that inserting Evening Primrose oil capsules up your vajayjay from 37 weeks can soften the cervix.. 1000mg a night?

Helly i have crap ears so have used olive oil -no issues.
